DH and I may be attending an ugly sweater party tonight at a local bar. While I don't really want to deal with some of the people I know will likely be there, like his XW, I do want to have some time with DH. I'm over the ugly sweater deal, but I feel I should participate since most will be wearing one. DH has a great one. I don't get out often, so I want to look nice. Do I participate or stand out with normal outfit?
And what's everyone else doing?

Re: Plans for this weekend?
I'd participate. Last thing I would want is for somebody to say "Haha, great ugly outfit!" when I didn't mean to participate. Not likely, but I'd be scared of it happening, y'know?
I'm hoping we can get together with friends of ours for dinner tomorrow to celebrate DH's new job and 'cause we haven't seen them in a while. If not, we'll do a celebratory dinner just us. On Sunday we're doing some banking and shopping and getting new cell phone plans sorted out while all the holiday deals are going. I know, I have such an exciting life. Try not to be toooo jealous, ladies.

We are trying to avoid going to our cousins holiday party. I went to a small high school and they are doig their annual Christmas pub crawl, funny because there is only one pub in the town. They usually end up crawling to a former teachers house and either pass out in the yard or just got to but him and his wife, his daughters are always involved and like 100 people show up. I don't know if I am going to go. I am trying to convince SO to get a tree and go to zoo lights. We have yet to get our tree. Oh and his niece is getting into town....she is 19 and I am excited to see her!
I think you should participate because it should be fun but that is just my opinion. I hope you have a great time and hope the XW doesn't show up!
We are taking off to my parent's house tomorrow and will be there until the 26th. My Grandfather remarried a few years ago and he was sick of having to choose whose house he had to go to for the Holidays (his wife's family or his) so this year they are throwing a huge party with both families on Saturday. It should be a blast and I am thrilled to be able to have an opportunity to wear my ridiculous shoes! I am about 10 feet tall when I wear them! (heehee)
You should participate, but wear an ugly Christmas cardigan without anything underneath it to make it sexy.
We are going car shopping tomorrow. I hate that I am likely going to have a car payment, but kind of looking forward to getting a new vehicle since mine is almost 12 years old.
Sunday I have to teach the 5 year olds at church and Sunday night we're going to our church's Christmas Eve service...we have like 12. It's really cool and well produced, I'm just hoping Edison does well in the nursery because he's not used to being left with people he doesn't know.
Mh is the mgr on duty this weekend so it will just be me and E all weekend. I think we might go to the children's museum and maybe do some random shopping.
I agree with LCass.
My mom wants some pictures of her with my niece and DD so we are going to Sears tomorrow morning to do that. Not looking forward to it. I am assuming we will get some Arbys after though and that's my absolute favorite fast food. Yum. We don't really have any other plans though. We might rent a movie and do hot chocolate or something...we're boring and I don't like going out in the cold.
OMG - I never thought of this, but it would give me such anxiety! I'd participate, but only because things are so much more fun when you go all out.
Our weekend plans? An insanely long carride with LBB up to the inlaws. DH has some sort of warped idea that it'll be a nice, leisurely joyride, leaving late in the morning and still arriving in time to hang out with his friends and their new baby on Saturday early evening.
Sunday we'll be attending BIL's Christmas Party where there is always half the amount of food for twice the amount of people. All his friends and relatives I don't know, or do know and are absolutely certifiably crazy. (As in, they probably aren't expecting to come because of the world ending)
Your husband has good taste in FB teams! Go 'Hawks!
Go for it! It's no fun to be the one person who didn't dress up.
Tonight, DH and I put together they play kitchen for DD. I LOVE it!! Tomorrow we're celebrating Christmas with just the three of us. I'm making a big brunch and we'll hang out in our PJs and watch Christmas movies. Sunday morning we're heading to my Dad's for Christmas with him, my stepmom, and my siblings. We always have fondue and open our presents late in the evening, and then we all sleep over. I'm really looking forward to it.
That sucks, Missy.
I just finished crafting an ugly sweater for G! We don't have a sweater party till Boxing Day though.
My MIL has G tonight. We were thinking about seeing a movie but I can't find anything I want to see, cry.
Other than that we are low key all weekend before hectic Christmas week.
