What mattress are you getting?

I am currently registered for Sealy Baby Soft Ultra Crib & Toddler Bed Mattress. ?Is the Serta Perfect Sleeper or another brand better??

Re: What mattress are you getting?

  • To tell you the truth I don't even remember. There were a bunch to choose from at BRU and we just went with a mid-price one that seemed to be of high quality. I figured there's probably not a huge difference.

  • I got the foam matress recommended by the Baby Bargains book for my daughter. It was $25 if I recall, from Target. Colgate brand I think. It made changing the sheets in the middle of the night SO easy. It is extremely light. We'll use it again for this baby.
  • Sealy Baby Ultra Rest.  It was actually my second choice because the one I wanted wasn't in stock anymore.  It feels nice and firm and got good reviews.  It's about $80.

I would *guess* that most brand name mattresses are comparable to each other.

  • We got the Serta. It was on sale for $69 from the local store we purchased our crib from.?
  • We have the Colgate Classica (III I believe).  It has a super firm side for infants and a flip side for toddlers.  DD never had a problem with it on either side.
