Re: Pregnancy Check In - Due Date List
I think Mondays or Wednesdays are good as we don't have much else on those days.
As far as how things are going... I am rocking the modified bed rest! M made sure to renew our hul.u plus account and netflix so I have plenty to watch. My boss is being amazing and letting me handle all of my local sites remotely so I don't have to leave the house except for a crisis. I basically sit in bed or reclined on the couch all day making phone calls during the work day. My only complaint right now is the heartburn. It's gotten really bad! The boys are doing wonderfully and we have another growth scan on Thursday to check baby B's progress.
I am so excited that my vacation starts on Friday at 2pm and I don't go back to work until January 3rd! I have not taken this many days off of work in over 6 years so I am not exactly sure what I will do with myself. I see a ton of sleep and naps in my future while I wash all the boys bedding and clothes.
I cannot believe we are in the final countdown until we get to meet them and their eviction date is set for Feb 4th! I feels like just yesterday we got our BFP.
I hope everyone else is doing well and wishing everyone a happy and healthy pregnancy.
06/12 - BFP!!!!

6wk U/S on 07/02 ~ TWINS!!!
EDD 02/21/13
09/10/12 Found out it's two Boys!!!! Sam and Jake
Jacob and Samuel born 1/29/13 at 36 weeks.
I'm doing well. Other than feeling sick all day long. But thankfully it's not a sickness that is really keeping me from doing things. I just have to eat and as long as I'm eating I feel okay. The moment I stop, I feel like awful again.
We were released from the RE at 8wks and have our first appt with an OB this week so I'm excited for another u/s since it's been a few weeks.
Oh and the big news - we won't be Team Green this time! woo-hoo! I wouldn't change being team green last time for anything but this time around I just feel more of a need to know and K agreed. :-)
So far we are still team green, but we'll see how long we can stay that way
I think that the all-day-nausea and occasional puking is slowly tapering off... Instead of feeling rubbish every day, I have some days where as long as I eat regularly, I can feel almost human. HURRAY!
My next appointment is on the 2nd of January, but I won't have an ultrasound until the following month. I am with Kaiser, but I want to give birth at a free standing birthing centre here in Denver, so we'll be going to an orientation on the 29th and hopefully I can combine the maximum coverage of prenatal care with a delivery at the birth centre.
I have started inquiring at local family lawyers so that we can have the second parent adoption process completed at the baby's birth.
Oh..and I have just over a week's vacation starting next Wednesday, so I think there will be some nursery work happening!
I'm doing ok. I got sick last week, and I can't get rid of the darn bug. J caught it, too, poor kiddo. He had a fever for days, but he's finally on the mend (which is more than I can say for myself).
Other than that, m/s has kicked in and I'm pretty bloated. We have our first U/S on Wednesday - on the early side because I've had some spotting. It has come and gone, and I spotted throughout my pregnancy with J, so I'm not uber concerned. It will be nice to know everything is ok, though.
We'll definitely find out the gender. I'm too controlling not to know.
Anyone planning to tell family over Christmas? I'm a little torn - it's early, but it would be so nice to be able to tell everyone at the same time...
Hi, y'all!
Doing well, here, at 28 weeks. Time is just trucking along! Apparently baby is as big as a Napa cabbage, which I think seems like a nice image.
We went to a christmas party on Saturday and everyone was so nice, saying I looked great and everything. I wore heels and DW did not, so I was kind of tower-y and my boobs are huge and my belly sticks out, so I felt like an Amazon. It was pretty awesome.
Baby boy has been pretty quiet lately, but we had a really busy weekend. I mostly want to lie down and watch some TV and feel him kick, but no go on that for a while.
Leaving on Thursday to go to the mainland, which will satisfy my heart's desire. Can't wait to see how preggo flying goes!

"Things separate from their stories have no meaning. They are only shapes. Of a certain size and color. A certain weight. When their meaning has become lost to us they no longer have even a name. The story on the other hand can never be lost from its place in the world for it is that place.” ― Cormac McCarthy, The Crossing
We will be. I will be 12wks exactly on Christmas. Not sure how we're telling everyone yet (we have some ideas) but it will definitely be a Christmas surprise to them (assuming our 11wk u/s this week shows us that everything is still good).
We had our first intake/education appointment with my OB office at our hmo. I will not deliver with that team unless I'm high-risk --and even then I would most likely be with the midwives or my family practice doc with ob consults as needed--but this gets us established there and set for our 8/9 week appt with my OB for an u/s on 1/7. After that we'll move to a homebirth midwife.
I'm feeling icky in the afternoon/evening/night - mainly just queasy and fatigued. If I nap and eat/takes sips of something/suck on something it makes it better.
If we had been visiting family over the holidays we were tempted to tell (7/8 week), but now that we're not its a relief to wait until late January (after the u/s and close to the end of the first tri). We want to tell as many people in person as possible, so we'll most likely do a big wave of family sharing when we go down for another event.
Hello Everyone!
My wife and I are due Feb. 17th, 2013. This is our first child, a little girl! I am the NBM, and very excited. We inseminated at home, just the two of us and a gift from a known donor, and I would not change that for the world.
I'm a little scared about delivery, as I hate to see my wife in pain! Any other NBM out there?

Hello Everyone and Congrats!
I'd like to add that we are having a boy!
All I can say is any pregnancy symptom that anyone could possibly have...I've got it! The good, the bad and the ugly...but I wouldnt change it for the world! I am thankful to finally be having a child!
Hi,
Happy to be new to this group. After a long journey of nine failed IUI's, we were finally approved for IVF and it worked. My wife and I are expecting twins! She's carrying, which from what I can gather from reading other posts makes me an NBM. We had our 7 week ultrasound today, which was our second. We saw both heartbeats last week and both were stronger today. The doctor says everything looks great! Our original due date was 8/8/13, but July is more likely.
Me (43) and J (45) - same sex couple. And we don't feel 40+!

We live in Seattle and used SRM for our donor egg IVF cycle
Well I am starting to really get into my pregnancy. I spent so much time being afraid that something bad might happen and telling myself not to get too attached that I haven't fully embraced what is happening.
Now that I am in my second trimester things are getting better. My wife and I are making some major changes which will be really helpful when the baby comes.
Well my wife was all team green before our last ultrasound. When she saw the baby moving her first question was ... Can you tell if the baby is a boy or a girl?
So it seems like we are going to find out the sex of the baby. I'm excited : However, I want to find out in a special way. So I am going to meet with my best friend and discuss sex reveal ideas. My wife says that when they tell us the sex that will be a big deal and she can play music from her iPhone to make it more lively.
