Set awake time?

Do you have a set awake time for your LO? We aren't on a schedule but would love to start getting towards one and I know that the Healthy Sleep Habits book suggests this. Just curious.

Re: Set awake time?

  • I have thought about it, but I just can't bear to give up those glorious days when she will sleep til 7:30. :)

Right now, we are usually on a pretty consistent schedule plus or minus 30 minutes. I have decided at least for now I'll take a little inconsistency for as much morning sleep as possible.

  • Not a chance. I let both girls sleep as long as they want.

She's usually up and at 'em at 6am but if she sleeps longer than that I don't wake her.

  • we do during the week - if she's not up by 6:30 we won't leave the house on time to get to daycare/work.

on the weekends we let her sleep in, she'll usually sleep until 7:30 or even 8! of course, she also stays up later those nights :P
