So I am going on a roadtrip with my brother for 10 days to help him move across the country in January. I didn't know it would be 10days when I committed... I was thinking a week max.

So now I am trying to figure out how to handle being away from LO for that log as bringing her with me would be TORTURE for her. Any tips on how to help her and I cope with this separation?

    Never been away from our LO for more than 7hours but maybe leave a shirt you wore for her :-) laminated picture and a recording of your voice perhaps.

    Oh wow - I had a 3 day trip unexpectedly become 6 days, and that was hard.

    Can you do Skype? I know that's hard if you're going cross-country and don't have good reception, but maybe seeing you that way would help.

    What about those recordable storybooks? Or make a video of yourself reading her favorite books?

    I've never been away for that long, so I don't have much advice. I like the idea of Skyping as well as leaving her a shirt or two with your scent on it. Good luck!
