Cloth Diapering

Rec your diaper sprayer

Please recomend your diaper sprayer. We're a month into solids and I think it's about time I invested in a sprayer. I'm so over the swish and dunk!

  • Loading the player...
  • I've got a BG one... it works well and DH didn't have trouble installing it.  I had to turn down the water pressure though...to avoid poop showers.  I don't have anything else to compare it to... but no issues

I hear the sigma one works well and is cheaper, but I couldn't find a shipper to canada when I was buying they all seemed to be sold out

  • I don't have a specific brand but I do highly recommend you buy one that attaches to your toilet tank and not to the wall inlet valve.

I got the Flo one which connects to the wall inlet valve and my house happened to have non-standard bathroom plumbing  and the connector pieces that came with the kit did not work and then I went to Home Depot, Lowes, and even a plumbing supply store the plumbers to go to and nobody had the correct size valve I needed.

I ended up having to buy a bidet kit from Lowes and combine the to kits so that I could get mine hooked up.  If I had just purchased a kit that connected to my toilet tank I would have avoided a weeks worth of work, saved $60 buying the second kit, AND a potential Plumber visit.  I ended up being able to cancel the plumber I had scheduled to come out and replace my valve.

Anyways, unless you live in a new house that is guaranteed to have new standard plumbing installed you should buy one that connects to the toilet tank.  The toilet tanks connectors are standardized at 1/2" and you are less likely to have a problem like mine.

ETA: even with all that extra work I love it and would do all that all over again if I needed too.  I did the dunk and swish method for 7mo and it suxd.  I would never ever get rid of my sprayer now. =D
