Aaaahhhh!

It's crazy blizzard weather here. Highways are closed, semis are knife jacked on the roads, traffic going through half the state have been backed up for hours. My DH is just nowlleaving work that is 45 minutes away. I'm freaking out! The roads are obviously horrible, and the wind isn't going to help. I just want him home. Doesn't he know I worry? Gah

I hope your DH gets some soon and safely and hopefully he will not have to go in tomorrow. We have been lucky so far that any snow we get has been melting within 24 hours or so.

They kept saying it was going to be a blizzard here, but we only got 4 inches. The roads were icy in the morning though. Hopefully your dh got home safely. It's been a pretty mild Iowa winter so far!

Thanks, ladies.We weren't suppose to get this much, but we ended up getting more. The wind is what's making it worse. I'm sure he will be fine. I worry a lot with travel. Both my grandpa and my mom were killed in separate car accidents. Let's just say, I am the worst passenger possible.

That was here yesterday, MH took an extra shift so he wouldn't have to drive home in the snow, but that means he's working 24 hours of overtime this week, and running on very little sleep.

Today he tried to dig his car out of the snow and in the process slid on the ice under the snow and hit his parent's car's bumper. He had to call me home from work so I could drive the car out of the snow while he pushed... Then proceeded to drive his car to his doctor's appointment with no power steering because something wasn't right, then stopped at Walmart, and his car died in the parking lot, he thinks the fuel pump went, so I had to leave work again and go get him 30 minutes away. Awesome. I think it's time for a new car

Ugh, no fun! Sounds like someone needs a new car AND a drink. My DH called. It took him almost 2 hours to get 20 miles. He told me he never gets nervous driving, and this drive freaked him out. On a positive note, he may have saved an elderly man's life.

Apparently they reopened the bridge (to that other state) but driving is not suggested. We also have some idiots driving around town on four wheelers. I am really hoping they get caught and in trouble.
