Whining!!!!

DS will be 6 months old next week and has always been a super high maintenance baby. I have no idea what it must be like to have an easy baby!! He had colic, has reflux, has MSPI, etc. However lately it seems like the WHINING and crying are at a peak. He isn't happy unless he has your full attention, if you leave his sight he gets very mad, and in the evenings unless one of us is walking around holding him it's a full on meltdown. Did anyone else go through an excessively fussy time around 5.5 to 6 months? It's been like this now the past couple weeks. I'm hoping it ends soon because while I love my son to pieces the constant whine/cry/I'm never happy noise is driving me insane!!

It took 44 cycles, just over 3 years, 6 failed IUI's in MI, and 1 round of IVF at CCRM to get our BFP!
Beta #1 (9dp5dt) = 206, Beta #2 (11dp5dt) = 438
1st u/s @ 6w5d = 11/11/11 = ONE little bean! HB 120bpm!

    I don't know when it ends but my LO has been doing the same lately. That whining sound is awful!

    Oh I know just how you feel. DD has reflux also, but the whining, fussy, clingy period of 5-6.5 months was NOT fun. I can say it did end for us but it was draining.  I am not a complainer either, I find being a mom to a baby that never sleeps, never naps and has bad reflux is still easier than my job was. But what you are going through was just as hard as the reflux before we knew what reflux was period. I could not leave her sight or put her down for a good 2-3 weeks. It slowly got better. I gave up on thinking I could do anything else but deal with her and that helped. Bcause I kept trying to multi task. It will end before you pull out all your hair!  Best of luck.

    Hypothyroid/Fibroids/Stage 4 Endometriosis

    10/2010 Open myomectomy to remove 3 fibroids largest @ 8 inches. Stage 4 endometriosis and inoperable/blocked left tube.

    3/2011 Laporoscopy/Hysteroscopy. 3 endometrioma cysts, hydrosalpinx, left tube and half of the left ovary removed.

    5/2011 IUI #1 medicated w/injections, 1 follie = BFP!

    6/2011 Blighted Ovum/ D&C

    9/2011 IUI #2 medicated w/injections, 2 follies = BFP!

    Our son is the same...very clingy and most of the time you have to be entertaining him or he's fussy.  It's so cute though because when we are entertaining him, he is full of giggles, super happy and smiley...but we don't dare go out of his sight or MELTDOWN!!

    Ugh I'm sorry. That sounds awful! It must be so frustrating. I hope things get better soon.

    Have you tried wearing him so you can still get things done? DS was like that until about five months old and baby wearing is how I kept my sanity.

    Sounds like  separation anxiety. They are learning that mom is a separate person that can go away.
