Book Recs (esp. Kindle Lending Library)

I'm looking for a book to read over the holidays. I'm hoping to borrow it from the Kindle Lending Library. I figure I might actually have some time to read since we'll be surrounded by tons of family wanting to entertain DD.

I like different kinds of books. Some of my favorites are The Time Traveler's Wife, the Harry Potter series, Stephen King's 11-23-64, and Tina Fey's Bossypants.

Does anyone have any book recommendations? It would be extra great if it could be borrowed for free from the Kindle Lending Library. Thanks!

    Anyone read the new JK Rowling adult novel The Casual Vacancy?  My MIL let me borrow a copy, but haven't started it yet.  I am obsessed with Harry Potter so I'm hoping it's good.  I am finishing up the second book in the Song of Ice and Fire novels (Game of Thrones).  They are good books, but extremely long and not really an easy read.
