Anyone else have a chunkster?

My baby girl had her 6 month appt this morning and weighs 22.4 and is 27.5 inches long.  OMG  Her pedi is not concerned now but said we will watch her as she starts to crawl and walk to make sure it tapers off.

My DH and i are both big people he is 6'4 and i am 5'11.....so some of this is just genetics.  i just feel like she is growing up so quick because she already wears 12m clothes.

I think she has actually slowed down a bit since i started solids.  she now gets 2 meals a day, with milk in between.  But she sleeps a solid 10+ hours at night with no feedings.

Anyone else have a big baby like this or had one that grew up to be more slender?

    At 6 months DD was 20 pounds and 27 inches....DH and I are both smaller so who know??  I love me a chunky baby, though...

    My daughter had her 9 month check up yesterday.. 31" long and 24.3 lbs. She is as tall as a 16 month old the Pedi said! Though, nothing to worry about. She is perfectly proportioned and the Pedi said things will even out by the time she is 2.

    At DS's 6 month appointment, he was almost 24 pounds and almost 30 inches. People love to commenet on his chubby cheeks!

    At our 6-mmonth appt my son was 28.5 inches long and 19.2 lbs.  Only a couple of weeks have passed so can't answer your quesiton about how things will even out later.

    Both of my babies have been chunks!  My son was just under 20lbs at 6 months and then only gained two more pounds the whole next 6 months.  He's a stick now at 2 years old :)  My daughter was 18lbs at her 6 month appointment.  We'll see if she thins out as much as her brother did.

    DD was in the 92nd percentile for height and weight at her 6 month checkup.  She has been in 12 month clothes since shortly after that, because the 9 month stuff was getting too short for her long legs.  I'm 5'2", so she definitely doesn't get this from me!

    I love my big baby! She was 20 lbs 28 3/4 inches long at 6 mos!

    My DS was the same size as my DD at 6 mos and is now a tiny guy too! It just foes to show that you never what will happen with them!

    At 7 mo DS was 21 lb 13 oz and 29.5" tall.  I love his chunkiness!

    Yuuuuup! Our guy weighs 24 lbs at just over 7 months. At 6 he was 22. He's only 28 inches long! Soooo chunky! image

    my "little" man just had tubes put in so at his pre-op apt they did all his measurements. So at 8 months he was 23lbs and 28.5 inches.....chubby!! At 6 months he was 21 lbs 3oz and 26.25 inches...gained 2 lbs and 2 inches in 2 months! Im only 5'2" so it definately doesn't come from my side. I wasn't even 20lbs at one year! :)
