Okay, so I'm sure this is not new, so maybe I'll turn it into a poll. Edison has turned picky on us and I'm having trouble getting him to eat more than a few types of food. I'm hoping it's teething related because he used to eat oatmeal and veggies more. Eggs and Chicken are now is favorite. He also WILL NOT drink milk. He'll sip it and then let it pour out of his mouth! He's still on nutramigen, because I don't know what else to do.

Re: Food Issues
What does your kid eat for breakfast? Eggs.
Lunch?
Dinner? Between lunch and dinner his foods basically are chicken, pasta, potato (fries, tots or whatever) noodles in soup
Snacks? He'll gnaw on whole apples, animal cracker, coconut milk ice cream, I found these things called Nibbly Fingers at Target that seem somewhat healthy for him.
Is your kid picky or not? Yes! Help!!
I try to buy organic stuff.
What does your kid eat for breakfast? grits, eggs, yogurt, cottage cheese, pancakes, waffles, english muffins, hash browns, fruit, combos of all the above. This morning he and I had crumpets for breakfast.
Lunch? Whatever I happen to pack for DH and I. I made Mongolian tofu on Monday and he devoured it with brown rice and broccoli. Yesterday he had chili and cornbread, today he has mushroom ravioli and green beans. Tomorrow I think we're doing grilled chicken and a salad. He'll also have tacos, sandwiches, wraps, pasta, soup, etc.
Dinner? Whatever DH and I are having. He had 3 servings of corn chowder last night and tonight we're having bean tacos which he's going to love. Really it's anything goes - chili, rice and beans, steak, chicken, carnitas, soups, pastas, etc.
Snacks? dried fruit, freeze-dried fruit, regular fruit (right now he's really into apples, bananas, and persimmons) cheerios, banana chips, pirate's booty, cheese sticks, yogurt stars, applesauce
Is your kid picky or not? He's not picky, but he goes through phases. Right now he's less enamored with meat and cheese, and they used to both be his favorites. He gravitates towards different fruits and veggies all the time. He usually loves pasta, but when we had lasagna rolls for lunch on Tuesday he only wanted to eat the ricotta and not the noodle. When he's teething he doesn't eat as much, and dinners can be hit or miss depending on his hunger level. I don't really worry too much. He'll eat when he's hungry.
What does your kid eat for breakfast? Wheat toast or waffles with fruit. He loves bananas, pears or peaches the most.
Lunch? Cheese quesadillas, broccoli or green beans, black beans, grapes
Dinner? Whatever we have. He likes rice, egg noodles with butter, avacados, asparagus. (he will eat any fruit/veggie)
Snacks? Apples, goldfish crackers, plain graham crackers, recently he likes Plum Organics teensy fruits (tiny smashed gummy snacks)
Is your kid picky or not? We are lucky and he isn't really picky, but we can not get him to eat meat. Occasionally he will try a meatball, or a bit of chicken, but usually he just spits it out. I still give him a bottle of formula before bed, just to make sure he is getting all the nutrients he needs.
What does your kid eat for breakfast? Yogurt, fruit, eggs, egg/cheese/tomato wrap, toast, fruit, avocado
Lunch? Leftovers from the dinner she didn't eat, turkey sandwich, roll up with hummus/cheese/veggies, occasionally PB and banana wrap
Dinner? Often what we are having, but her favorites are turkey meatloaf, pasta with meat and veggies and chicken/black bean quesadillas
Snacks? Applesauce, cheese, fruit, olives, fruit/veggie smoothies, organic cheerio things, and graham crackers
Is your kid picky or not? Sometimes. She will eat a lot of different stuff, but sometimes doesn't eat dinner at all. That's when I wrap it up and she gets it for lunch the next day. Sometimes she will love something one day and gobble it up, and the next day she won't even touch the same meal.
She eats a lot, these are typical quantities:
Breakfast: A whole banana, (an adult size portion) steel cut oatmeal with cinnamon and sometimes a small amount or maple syrup, and a hard boiled egg.
Other things she'll eat for breakfast are clementines, pineapple, mango, apple slices, apple sauce, yogurt and yogurt with whole grain, plain rice krispies, scrambled eggs or omelets with diced peppers, onion, mushrooms, spinach, olives, and cheese.
Lunch: Diced chicken breast, rice with veggies mixed in and applesauce or yogurt.
Other things she eats a soy butter (fake peanut butter) sandwich on one slice of whole wheat toast folded in half, a small amount of veggies like chopped broccoli and cauliflower or shredded carrots, shredded cheese or cubed cheese, a hard boiled egg instead of the sandwhich if she didn't have one for lunch, and some sort of fruit, Leftovers from breakfast.
Dinner: Whatever we are eating minus salt or anything super spicy.
Snacks: Chopped veggies like green pepper or mushrooms, Goldfish, mini graham crackers, no salt pretzel sticks, smoothies with greek yogurt veggies and fruit, yogurt, fresh fruit, Nutri Grain bars, and cookies.
Breakfast: this morning it was steel-cut oatmeal and a banana. Other mornings it's a waffle with banana smeared on it and whatever other fruit we have. Occasionally pancakes.
Lunch: Usually something like brown rice, peas, and a pile of beans (usually kidney or black beans).
Dinner: Whatever we're having. We never make her her own dinner unless we're making something special for ourselves that takes too long and she needs to eat. Last night it was chimichurri rice and tamales with cheese and green chiles.
ETA: she has sippies of milk throughout the day, but no snacks really. She also still gets a bottle in the morning and before bed (milk before she sleeps seems to give her stomach cramps).
What does your kid eat for breakfast? A breakfast bar, pancakes, muffins, bananas, strawberries, oranges, eggs, bagels.
Lunch? Yogurt, sandwiches, crackers and cheese. He's not big on lunch.
Dinner? Whatever we are having. If we aren't having dinner that night, our go-to is chicken nuggets, perogies, sweet potato fries, or Mac & cheese with peas.
Snacks? Juice from the juicer, cheese sticks, carrot sticks, celery, fruit, crackers.
Is your kid picky or not? Sometimes. His biggest issue is he doesn't like meals separated, so I have to mix everything together. He also doesn't like dry food, so I have to mix his meals with applesauce to wet it. He's like a cat, needs it mixed perfectly and it needs to be wet. Rice and applesauce is our best friend!
What does your kid eat for breakfast? We used to give him Cheerios but he has been refusing them lately. We now give him either Gerber oatmeal (heat and serve flavored kind) or I will give him some of my bagel with cream cheese or toast with butter and jam.
Lunch? He is in daycare so he eats whatever the daycare is having for lunch that day. If he is at home he will get deli meats and cheese with fruit or yogurt, soup, or whatever we have for leftovers.
Dinner? He eats whatever we are having. We substitute the salad for fruit though.
Snacks? Mostly fruit or yogurt when he is at home. At daycare they provide 2 snacks a day so he eats whatever they give him.
Is your kid picky or not? DS is not picky at all. There are a few things he hasn't been liking lately like eggs and Cheerios but he pretty much eats whatever we give him.
What does your kid eat for breakfast? I'll make a batch of oatmeal and use it for a day or two. I cook it with his milk, then add either applesauce, pears, or finely chopped raisins along with cinnamon. He also loves Cream of Wheat (high in iron!) with fruit and yogurt mixed in. He's currently on an egg strike.
Lunch? Whatever is left over in the fridge. Unfortunately, he can't do tortillas yet, even cut up. Out and about I'll feed him puree pouches
Dinner? Whatever we are having. He LOVES roasted veggies w/ olive oil, S&P. He can really put away roasted carrots
Snacks? Cheese sticks, yogurt, cheerios, Gerber puffs...
Is your kid picky or not? Not really, but he's not eating alot lately probably due to teething.
What does your kid eat for breakfast? Cheerios and fruit, toast and cream cheese and fruit. Sometimes eggs and cheese
Lunch? Daycare provides his lunches. On the weekend though, usually sandwiched and soup
Dinner? Whatever we eat
Snacks?
Cheerios, cheese, fruits, veggies
Is your kid picky or not? Recently yes. Maybe it's a phase but I am not sure yet, he also just cut a few teeth. He is obsessed with eating with a fork right now, if he doesn't have a fork, he won't eat.
