Intro!

Hi all! Wanted to introduce myself here. I'm Sarah, 30 yrs old, pregnant with my first (4w2d). My DH and I had a loss this past August at 7w4d, never heard a heartbeat. We are thankful we were able to get pregnant again within a good amount of time but of course I am driving myself insane with worry. Had my first OB visit yesterday and am now waiting on hearing back about my betas, as well as the results of an ANA and TSH test (my Mom has autoimmune disease). Last time I had good #s for both progesterone (17) and hcg (74,000) so I'm hopeful, but of course that won't squash my fears because it didn't seem to do the trick last time. So far very few symptoms!!

ETA: Just heard from doc my hcg is 49 and progesterone is 21.9. Going in tomorrow to see if hcg is doubling or not. Tested negative for both ANA and TSH!

Congratulations and welcome! PgAL is a different experience for most than pregnancy before a loss, so if you're feeling nervous, etc., it's very normal. (At first I worried my fear was really intuition. PgAL brain is the worst!)

Thank you!! Ah it definitely is! I've even had that same thought re: intuition. Like, If I think it, it must be true. When I found out I was preg this summer, I was looking at all kinds of pregnancy & baby stuff online... this time, not doing anythingggg until I know for sure that I am going to have a baby. It's scariest in the beginning, when so much can go wrong, and you want info... then as soon as you get info you worry it's not good enough! Ex: my beta only being 49 right now!
