Speaking of your wedding night

Did you have sex on your wedding night? I heard a statistic once that said that most people (maybe 60% or more) don't have sex on their wedding night.

Either they have too much to drink, stay out too late or travel to their honeymoon spot after the reception.

I think one of my sisters and my mom did not have sex on their wedding night. DH and I absolutely did. We waited until we were married and we weren't waiting any longer

We started to but then decided we were too tired and stopped! It was like 4am and we were exhausted.

We almost didn't, but we did. We had waited and DH was being nice because I was exhausted, but eventually admitted he really wanted too. But then I realized I had left my meds at my parents house so my Dad had to drive them to me at 3 am, and I had to wait up for him. So yes, but was it mind-blowing honeymoon sex, no.

We did not. But we had planned not to have any pressure on that night, so it didn't matter. We also slept at my sister's where the reception was held. The next night we slept in a hotel before our flight, and did it up. Wine, champagne, sushi and the hotel bed. It was an amazing night.

I explained this in the alcohol thing, but our wedding was extremely long and exhausting. Fabulous, but exhausting. We got up early. 2 hour drive with guests on a charter bus and bridesmaids and I in car, 4 hour sail with ceremony, and lunch. Then all back 2 hrs on the bus. Then reception with cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, bonfire. By the time the final guests left around 11, we were completely exhausted. Definitely no energy for good sex, amd we didn't want to just do it because we felt we should.

Nope. I was seven and a half months pregnant, and completely exhausted after a long long night with all our friends and family. We got to the hotel at like two in the morning. But we did it like rabbits in the giant red heart shaped jacuzzi tub in our hotel suite on our honeymoon! :]

To be honest I don't remember. My exH and i go married at the court house. After we got married we all went to eat. My sister came in from out of town, so after we ate I went back to my mom's to visit with them and eH went home. We had been living to together for a while, so it wasn't like it would've been anything new for us.

We did. We actually had sex after our wedding ceremony before our reception. We took a sneak peek of our hotel suite before heading down to great our guests. It was pretty insane considering my dress was huge so I didn't want to take it off. That was interesting but I never forget DH wanting to have sex before our reception. We also had sex that night at like 2 AM and we had to be up at 5 AM to catch our flight.

On another note, our wedding day was awesome for so many reasons. I tell DH we have to do it again at 5 years or something. Our friends tell us the same, they had so much fun at our wedding.

I know, huh? The worst part was it was almost 2 weeks early that month. It had never been early before and it hasn't been early again. Just that special month.

We did. It wasn't as good as the next morning at all though because we were so tired. We didn't get back to the suite until 1am and honestly the last thing I wanted to do was put on a little white lingerie thing, but... I knew it was important to DH, just like carrying me over the threshold Smile He slept in that morning but I was up and jumping on my bed with my mom and sister at 8am! So he was still wide awake and ready to go!

On another note my poor sister, her DH got really drunk and had to be helped up to the room by the cab driver where he promptly passed out in the middle of the floor amid all the rose petals Sad She was left watching a movie alone and wandering the halls looking for a vending machine because she was starving! I felt so bad for her!

Nope, we did not get around to it our wedding night. Too completely dead dog tired.

We did however sneak one in before getting out of bed in the morning, and then we left for our honeymoon and the first two days didn't leave the room except to eat meals.

DH and I waited til we were married... Unfortunately, I had no idea how painful it'd be for me, and I had no idea how to make it work! And it was actually so painful that we weren't able to have sex for about 2 to 3 weeks into our marriage! DH was soooo incredibly sweet though, always reminding me that he didn't marry me for sex.
Such an amazing man!
And God sure knew what He was doing since I wound up on pelvic rest for a sub chorionic hemorrhage during my pregnancy that put us out of commission for about 15 weeks too!!
And he's always been so kind and loving about it, knowing I felt like a failure and assuring me I wasn't!!

ETA: two to three weeks... Not 23!!! Thanks a lot TB mobile!!!
Although pelvic rest really was fifteen weeks! Sad day!!

We did but honestly only because that's what you are supposed to do. we were so exhausted and i was so sore, my dress weighed a lot and we had danced the night away, i literally could barely walk the next few days!

We didn't.

Our wedding reception wrapped up at midnight, and we didn't leave until about a half an hour later. We dropped off the wedding gifts at our house, swapped vehicles (we already had my car packed with our honeymoon bags), and hit the road. It was 1am, we had to be at the airport by 4am, it was a 2 hour drive and it was snowing. So, we spent our wedding night driving and eating at Steak n' Shake.

The next day, after we got to Florida and got checked in the resort, we took a nap. Then we had sex. It was a great couple of days, spent primarily wrapped up in each other... then hubs got some crazy food poisoning and spent the next 24 hours throwing up. The day after, when he finally felt better, I started my period -a week early. That hasn't happened before or since.

We had a great couple of days, and it doesn't bother me that we didn't have sex on our wedding night or every day of our honeymoon. Our sex life is pretty darn amazing anyway. Stick out tongue

We didn't (when DH drinks - our dear friend doesn't like to play...) But we did the next morning. It wasn't a big deal to DH but it was to me - like in the movies! Except we'd already been "doing it" for 7 years...

We left the reception a little early (10:30 maybe) and I had an energy drink just to make sure it would happen. We went back to our own apartment and made it feel like home

Our wedding was in the afternoon, then the reception. After the reception, we went to our apartment, DTD, changed and then went to the after party. Its a good thing we DTD when we went home to chagne because after the after party, we were way to tired.

We did. We had done it before but about a year before our wedding I felt convicted and we decided to wait the rest of the time. So we were ready on our wedding night! I didn't want to rush anything, so we didn't leave for our honeymoon until 2 days later, so we had plently of time to relax and take it easy.

An awkward side note... After the reception we went back to the hotel where everyone else was staying too. We went straight to our room, did it and changed. We went back downstairs to hang out with friends at the hotel bar. We saw DH's mom and she said "um shouldn't you be upstairs doing something else right now?" EW! Please, MIL, don't ever mention our sex life again. It only made it worse when DH hinted we already did it. Insert red face here.

Yes, we did. Our wedding wrapped up at about 10pm and we had an hour drive home after packing all of our presents in DH's truck. We made it home around 12am, unpacked the truck, had sex on the stairs, called a cab and went to the airport to go on our honeymoon. We knew if we went to our bed we would fall asleep and miss our international flight and we didn't want to take the chance. We didn't have sex every day of our honeymoon, but we definitely had a GREAT time!

Yes. We got married in a different state than where we were living at the time & were staying with the ILs, so we got a hotel that night. Can't waste hotel time! Plus it was the first time we didn't have to worry about being careful of getting pregnant (I wanted to wait until after we were married, DH didn't care if we got pregnant 2yrs before that).
