I need to provide my in home daycare with a crib. I have a Graco Lauren crib at home. Without having done a ton of research, I'm leaning toward one of the IKEA cribs. Not sure if I am providing a portable crib or full-size yet. If portable (or full-size for that matter), do you have any suggestions for reasonably priced (cheap) crib that would be good in a daycare setting?
Thanks
Re: Cribs for daycare
My suggestion would be a Pack and Play, particularly when the baby is small, but I have never in my life heard of a parent having to provide their own crib for day care. Am I naive - is this a common thing?

All the babies at our child care (a family child care home) sleep in PNPs that the provider owns. I work with child care providers for a living and have never heard of anyone asking parents to provide the crib.
If you are going to an in-home provider, I find it odd that he/she would want something that doesn't break down and can be stored away. And a center would have to have at least one evacuation crib, which are expensive and not something a parent would typically buy.

I agree with other posters, why buy a crib, a PNP should work just fine.
My in-home daycare has one crib that she purchased three years ago, before that she said her crib was 20 years old (yikes). But she also has a newer PNP to use. The three older kids she has take their naps in her guest bedroom which is set up with three single beds. It's a very nice set up, she doesn't make us provide any gear for her.
Edit: she can tax write her equipment off. You cannot...well most likely cannot.
