Worst night ever.

Can i vent for a minute? I posted earlier that Gavin is sick with a fever. He went to bed around 8 and woke up at 1030 with a temp of 105. Called the pedi line, we got the temp down a little with a lukewarm bath. The kicker is I had a full blown IBS attack starting around the time Gavin woke up and I'm still not done. I was in the bathroom for the last two hours crying, shaking, sweating, writhing in pain. Like 9 out of 10 pain. All while my child was crying and burning up and feeling miserable. It's actually my 3rd IBS attack in a week which is really unusual. I don't know if its stress or what. And when we were allowed to give Gavin meds again at 1230 he puked them up. And now hea crying again. Ok vent over. What a miserable night.

Yes thank god MH is here, he had to handle Gavin the whole time and he's been amazing. Gavin's temp is hovering around 104.5 now even after another lukewarm bath. He is soooo miserable. And I don't think I will sleep because if it goes over 105 again we are supposed to take him to the ER. I have a feeling we will end up in the ER before morning. And I still feel crampy although a million times better than a few hours ago. Blargg.

So sorry you and your little guy aren't feeling well. I can definitely relate with the IBS attack, they come at the most inopportune times... Mine got more under control after I had S, weirdly. Hope you are both feeling better ASAP, and you can avoid an ER visit Sad

I am so so sorry. Poor baby and poor you. IBS sucks. Nothing worth than stomach pain that makes you sweat and you don't know how to move. Maybe going to the ER wouldn't be so bad just so you can get taken care of too? I know when my Crohn's is acting out horribly I keep ending up there and they shoot me up with something.

I hope Gavin's fever goes down soon.

Oh no you poor things! I am so sorry you and G aren't feeling well. I hope you didn't have to go to the ER overnight that is the worst. Thank goodness YH was home to help out with G! I hope you both start feeling better soon :-)

Thanks so much everyone! My belly is still gurgly but I actually slept for about 6 hours yay! Gavin is still sleeping which is unbelievable. His fever was down to 100/101 this morning when MH checked before he left for work. Hopefully it stays down and goes away soon.

Thanks everyone! He slept til noon but still has a fever of 102.5. He's so sleepy and pathetic. At least it's down from last night. Trying to get him to eat or drink now.
