nbr: iPhone 5 cases... HELP!!!

I LOVE my otterbox for my 4s, but we just bought DH an iPhone5 and the otterbox cases are terrible (loose fit, screen has halo effect, etc etc, and most reviews are pretty bad). Problem is, when we did research for my 4s otterbox was the best choice, so now we're at a loss for how to protect his 5. Anyone find anything good that they like? Mostly we need to protect it from falls and toddlers, TIA

    I have an otterbox defender case for my 5 and it's awesome. Maybe you bought something other than the defender by mistake? Before this I had the defender case for my 4 and it was terrible. They have definitely improved it since then.

    Have you checked out the Lifeproof case? I am getting it for my 5. It is water proof too.

    Hm, so strange. We got a defender for sure.. even returned it and tried another with the same problem. May try the lifeproof, just don't need it to be waterproof etc. but suppose it wouldn't hurt. Thanks!

    lifeproof!!!  totally.  you SAY you don't need a waterproof case, but if you have a toddler, you do need it...  you just might not know it yet :)

    (says the mom whose phone has taken one too many baths in the sink and water table).

    80 bucks WELL spent, my friends!  my phone is still alive, and i have lifeproof to thank for it.
