Nbr when will it end?

When will it end?? There really is no point to this post besides venting... As some of you Chicago ladies know, (not sure how far this spread), there was a jailbreak in Chicago yesterday am... 2 men, armed and dangerous, tied bedsheets together and got out. They were last spotted in a south suburb about 2 miles from my house. Schools were on lockdown. People were told to stay inside their houses. Helicopters were everywhere and I could see them out my window.

I was on my way home from my parents down the street and stopped at a train when police surrounded the train and we had to wait for it to get cleared before we could cross... I had a minor panic attack in the car, with my child, as I was the first car by the railroad crossing, thinkin they found them. They were just checking it though.

Then... A housefire broke out in my hometown (about 10 mins from where I live now), killing the mother and the father is in critical condition at hospital.their Three children were at school, unharmed. News just released today that the medical examiner declared the mother was actually strangled to death. And the father is unresponsive, so police do not know who killed her before possibly setting the house on fire.

These things are hitting too close to home for me. School shootings, gunmen at large 2 minutes from my house, murderers in my hometown 10 mins from me... My hometown is a small rural community, everyone knows this family as they have a kid in high school, jr high and elementary.

Seriously... Where are we safe?

Ok... Vent over...just needed to get that off my chest.
