NBR Angry Old Ladies

I'm in the waiting room of my doctors and there is this old woman who looks like she's giving everyone the stink eye! She just looks so mad!

It reminds me of a lady who sits a couple pews behind us at church. That lady always looks like she disapproves of everyone and every thing.

I have LO with me today. Normally old ladies coo over him. Not this one!!

    There is a woman at my church who looked like that. One day I spoke to her. She is the nicest person. Don't be so judgemental. I imagine at some point you'll want to teach your LO not to judge based on appearance. You should lead by example.

    I'm not judging them. I just said the looks incredibly angry and the other looked disapproving all the time. That's just stating a fact. I was once told I always look serious!

    It doesn't sound like she is being judgmental, it just sounds like that was her first impression of the lady. Usually that is based on body expression.

    I have to remind myself of this all the time. When we were on a plane last week, there was a really grumpy looking old woman in the aisle across from me and DS1 and DS2. I was like, oh great, she's going to love it if and when my kids start screaming. She was actually the nicest woman ever and volunteered to give up her seat so that DH could sit there instead of the row in front of us.
