Homemade Christmas Gifts

I was just wondering if anyone was doing this.. we decided not to do gifts this year for budget reasons, but I am pretty sure DH got me something anyways. I would still like to do something for him but on a low budget. I was thinking of making him something but have no clue what to do. I can't knit, and obviously Christmas is around the corner so there is no time for me to learn, so that's out of the question. TIA!

    Here are some ideas that I know my DH would really love.  They might not be things he would ever buy, but he would be so proud of me for making them.  If you are interested in any, lemme know and I can provide you the links from pinterest. 

    Make a year of dates, one a month, or some looooooove vouchers...

    This picture is something you can buy, but if you upload a picture of you and DH and make it more transparent, you can type over it in white font and you will get the opposite effect but it's still the same thing, kinda.

    This website takes your words from facebook, lyrics, or scripture and recreates your photo using the words.

    Here's an idea to make a bookmark of your DS if your DH reads...

    And if he plays chess, this is a DIY vertical chess game.

    Dollar store frames with corks or magnets....

    Cork Coasters Using Small Picture Frames."fridge magnets"

    Salt dough activity for you and dh to make fingerprint heart. 

    1/2 is your fingerprint 1/2 is his (salt clay paint) Salt Dough - 2 cups flour, 1 cup salt, cold water. Mix until has consistency of play dough. bake at 250 for 2 hours, then cool and paint?.good recipe for thumbprint pendants

    I made this for DH and he said it was his favorite out of everything I ever got him.  Dollar store frame and dry erase marker.  I put a cork shelf liner for the background.  Looked awesome.

    There are lots of things. What about painting a frame and putting a pic if you and LO in it?

    Or doing a love notes jar?

    Reindeer foot ornament of LO?

    How about getting a sitter and having a date night?

    Making a fleece blanket for you two to cuddle under?

    I could go on and on and I don't have a single crafty bone in my body!!

    I am doing mostly homemade gifts this year. Pretty much everyone other than DD is getting a jar of homemade peppermint hot chocolate and a tin of cookies this year and the grandparents will also get a framed picture of DD/family picture haha.

    Go on Pintrest and you will find hundreds of ideas!

    So this might cost a little but you could get a picture frame and cut out words from magazines and newspapers, like daddy, hugs, fun, and decoupage them to the frame.  Then put a picture of DH and DS in it.

    Wow, everyone here is so creative!  I am not:) whatsoever but we are on a budget this year so I got creative.  This won't work for your husband, but I did see an idea that I tried from a magazine and I am using for a stocking stuffer for my mom and sister- homemade lip gloss/tint.  You take vaseline, Crystal Light Pomegranate Mix, and a bit of water, and it makes a flavored lip gloss stain.  Just make sure if you try it that while making it, you keep it away from your clothes because until it hardens (I put it in the fridge for a bit) it will stain :).   I put it in a cute make-up jar.
