At my parents home, we don't sleep! We all get together Christmas Eve, and open gifts or do secret Santa at midnight. This night is my favorite. Christmas Day is DHs birthday, so he gets to have a "birthday dinner" of his choice.
I'm excited about this year because it feels like DD's first Christmas. I think she'll really like what we got her. Plus, it's going to be just us here at our house. I'm looking forward to that because afterward, it will be mass chaos. We're going to drive 4 hours Christmas afternoon to go visit my parents and then ILs . We have to split our time with them and it turns out that one of the two days we have with my parents they have to work. So, I don't know how it will all go, but I'm sure it will be fine.
Like I said, I'm looking forward to the quiet, less chaotic time with my little family before all of that starts!
What are you most looking forward to- Family time, gifts, or the food?
Ugh, no I am not ready for Christmas. DD sleeping habits have been terrible so I just wrapped presents this morning for extended family. None of the presents for DD, DH or from Santa have been wrapped. I keep planning on doing it in the evenings once she goes to bed, before I go to bed, and since she hasn't been going to sleep till 10p or later I have just been crashing myself once she gets in bed.
The only reason I have the extended family presents wrapped is because I did it this morning while I was on a conference call just listening in. Plus, I really need to get them to the post office but can't yet. I am making the Grandmothers ornaments this year with DD's foot and hand prints in them. My first attempt on Saturday was a failure so I need to go do it again. Maybe tonight.
I am looking forward to the family time and traditions. I love our holiday traditions like watching "A Muppet's Christmas Carol" together and reading the birth of Jesus story on Christmas eve. All things we did growing up and I am really excited to share that with DD now.

I am completely, 100% ready! I have wrapped everything, separated it into bags based on where and when it is going, and am SO excited!
I love watching Lena open gifts, I love watching everyone open gifts, and hell, I like opening them myself too! I love the family time too. The food is great, but my dad critiques what I eat so that part isn't much fun.
Re: 6 days!
Literally all of the above. I'm more excited for my kids gifts though. I love giving them presents. I also love getting together with family
im not going to be able to sleep Christmas Eve. I just told DH I'll have to get some melatonin for that night
