we celebrate St Nick's day on 12/6 and we each get some little random stuff, maybe a DVD, candy, an ornament. nothing gets wrapped. because of this, i don't really put anything in the stockings for Xmas morning.
This year I'm stuffing DS's stocking with Cars socks, watercolor paints, a coloring book, toothbrush, toothpaste, mini m&ms, and a $5 dvd. I'm not planning to wrap them (my parents always wrapped mine and I thought it was annoying).
For DH, I got him deoderant, lip moisturizer (which he loves), a couple magazines, a couple pieces of candy, and a T-shirt. I'm planning to wrap the T-shirt but nothing else. DH and I only do stockings for each other, we don't do big gifts.
All the stockings are hanging right now, but most likely they'll be too heavy to hang after they are stuffed (stupid stocking hanger thingies don't hold their weight!).
In our house stockings are stuffed for everyone by Santa Christmas Eve, nothing wrapped.
For the kids: socks, books, dvds, little sweet candy something, small toys (DS train and matchbox car, DD hair things), toothbrushes, underwear, etc.
For us: Shaving cream, razors, socks, underwear, cd's, chocolate for mommy and gum for daddy, etc.
At my mom's house we always did lottery tickets and scratch tickets too... whoever won the most got to go to the one store that was open in town and trade them in for more tickets or money, haha.
My mom always wrapped mine when I was wee but I don't plan on wrapping any. I got DS some train track extensions and little wooden baking utensils. I'll probably throw in an apple too since my mom always threw fruit and nuts in mine.
I'll put stuff in mine and DH's too but just stuff we need anyway - soap, shaving cream etc. I also got us some little candies to fill them up.
DD is getting a Pluto stuffed animal (small one), a wooden puzzle, a Memory Game and probably one of those Plastic candy canes with M&Ms in it. DH and I do stockings as well but not much. He's getting an Itunes gift card, a Turvis tumbler cup and probably some candy.
I always wonder what he'll put in mine. I have no idea when that guys shops.
EDIT: My mom always wrapped our stocking stuffers (in the same paper she wrapped all the gifts in - haha). I wont be wrapping anything from Santa.
I would love to hang up our stockings now, but they would be within reach of the toddlers. And since I do not want to spend hours in the ER tending to a concussion caused by heavy metal stocking hangers, I am waiting until Xmas eve to hang them up.
For DD she will be getting: Socks (cupcake design her favorite), Goldfish Crackers, Sesame Street Pouch (yogurt, fruit thing), Toothbrush/Paste, Hairbrush that is supposed to be easier on her hair, and Triangle Crayons (more of a gift for mommy since I'm so sick of those things falling off the table!). Nothing will be wrapped.
DS is getting a box of crayons, a small Santa doll that plays Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, a little box of goldfish, and an ornament (the grinch) in his stocking.
DH is getting a pair of Christmas Story boxers, some truffles, a razor, an ornament, and a loofah. Nothing too crazy or fancy but all stuff he wants or needs.
We keep them hanging and then on Christmas Eve we fill them, and then "Santa" leaves them at the foot of our beds. : )
DD is getting play dough tools, 2 Chuggington trains, goldfish crackers, chocolate covered pretzels, a washcloth that expands the first time you put it in H2O, tub tints and Christmas stickers.
DH is getting batteries, scratch tickets, little toiletries, socks, candy, peanuts, a mini tool that looks like a key but has screwdrivers etc.
We already have spend a lot on DS for Christmas, so I went to the Dollar Store and got some great finds for his stocking. Lots of board books for only a $1. I think I got 3. I also got him some Thomas the Train flashcards with letters on them. He LOVES Thomas. They were on $1 too! I even have a UO for some....yep got him an M&M candy cane thing and a very small pack of Almond Joys. He loves those things (yes, we take the almond out). I a super health freak and my kids barely eats this stuff, unless he is at grammys and she gives in! Grr...that is how I even know he likes this stuff. lol At Christmas time...I won't rob him of his cookies and candy. My parents never did and I am very fit and healthy. Just wanted to throw that out before someone made a comment about me putting candy in my childs stocking.
I didn't wrap his stocking stuff and yes my DH and I do stockings for each other too. :-) We do hang them. We also buy nice cards for one another too and for DS and they go into the stocking as well.
PPD/PPA Mom...it has been super hard, but I'm making it! Slow steps... Mom to Carter (6), and Calianne (1). Proud VBAC, natural birth, breastfeeding, cloth diapering momma!
I usually do $1 items from the dollar store or the $1 section at Target. This year I got him 2 candies, 1 dinosaur coloring book, and 2 $5 movies from Target. I only wrapped the movies, not the other items.

I have gotten MH things in the past but he never gets me any so I'm kind of done with it, although next year we are hoping to not travel at the holidays and so we will have to put some stuff from santa in ours I think.
My mom is huge into stockings so we all (adults & kids) get a stocking stuffed by her. I also get her things to put in her stocking. (which reminds me I totally forgot to get her anything this year OMG.)

I bought DD a toddler camera, a Leapfrog DVD, M&Ms (in the large candy cane), and a Little Tikes Lion Flashlight.
I bought DH boxers and socks.
None of them will be wrapped.
The presents will go in the stockings after DD sleeps on X-mas Eve.

Princess band aids
Markers

play jewelry
