Crazy Animals

Are anyone else's animals acting out of control?

My cat was scared of the baby at first. Now she doesn't really care for him and comes around, however she's been driving me insane. She tries to trip me when I'm walking, she steals my pump parts when they are on the drying rack, and she steals socks and binkys from the baby's room. I love this crazy at but I can't handle it anymore. My whole house is in drawers because I can't trust her, and still she manages to open the drawers.

Tell me your crazy animal stories so I don't feel like I have the one cat that's broken.

  • My two cats have always been a bit crazy, but since baby they have been worse. You are not alone!

  • Our dog isnt out of control but definitely acting differently. Any time an unfamiliar car comes into driveway, she immediately goes and sits next to LO. If LO is sleeping in her nursery, the dog will go check on her.

on a side note, the fact that cats walk on kitchen counters grosses me out.

  • Stealing the baby's stuff ticks me off!!  My cat loves bottle parts (caps, nipples, etc), pump parts, and binkies.  One night we were completely out of binkies because the cat took all of them and had to send DH out late at night to get one.  I now keep all parts stored well away and dry them in areas of the house that (hopefully) the cat cannot get to.

  • Our dog follows me around EVERYWHERE. It's really annoying. He is either under my feet when I'm walking, or laying on my feet if I'm sitting down. If we are doing tummy time on the floor... BAM! Turbo is in my face. He is going to become an outside dog if he keeps this sh!t up, lol.

Yep this is my dog exactly. She is also acting very nervous and anxious and we give her kisses and attention all the damn time. We even try to make it a point to do it when we are holding the baby but she just won't stay out from under our feet now.

  • Both our dogs are very protective especially if someone comes to visit that they don't know.  My husband's dog will go into her room after we put her to bed.  It drives me crazy because we struggle to get her to sleep and to stay asleep most nights.  One of our first nights home, when she was still in our room, mh dog looked in the cradle and saw she wasn't there and started whining.  She was asleep on the other side of me in bed.
