No growth on the spinal fluid or the blood culture!

Yay! I feel like we can finally breathe. She'll do IV antibiotics for 5 days. We've done 2 so far. Then we'll do oral antibiotics for 5 more days. They may let us leave Thursday night...the infectious disease doctor said he'd be okay with that but the regular doctor we've been working with said Friday morning. We may argue that a little so we can spend another night at home. We're 2 hours from home and anxious to get home...but feel good about things and are excited by this good news! Thanks for the prayers ladies!

Re: Good news on Hallie!
Hope y'all go home soon.
Great News! I know you wnna get home but make the most of it while you are there to get her healthy and get some rest..
Did they determine how it all started or did i miss that part?
"For this child I prayed; and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of him:"

We'll probably never know how she got it. She's been in a phase of having to be held constantly or scream her head off. For that reason I have to cook while holding her quite often. It could even have been as simple as setting her paci down on the counter that has traces of Salmonella or even dropping it on the ground.
