I had my membranes stripped at 3pm yesterday 12/17 and at midnight my water started trickling out a little at a time. I arrived at the hospital at 2am today 12/18, still 4cm dilated and 80 effaced as I was earlier in the day with no regular contractions.
At 6am I wasn't even at 5cm, so they started pitocin which kicked my contractions into full gear by 7am. They got really painful and close together really quickly and I ended up getting the epidural shortly after 8am also finding out that I was 8cm and 100 effaced. The epidural worked within minutes and I felt soooo much better!!
At 9am I was complete and we were just waiting for LO to come down a little more. At 9:30am I started pushing even though I couldn't feel anything and she came right out, arrived at 9:32am.
My beautiful girl weighs in at 7 lbs 7 ounces and measures 19 and three quarter inches. She is perfect and is already nursing like a champ!!
Other than one measily hour of excruciating contractions, this labor was super EASY. I can hardly believe it!
