Yesterday afternoon I started having contractions -- 4-5 of them during my 15-20 minute drive home from work. Put myself to bed shortly after I got home. (not sure how much I drank but I pee'd 7 or 8 times between noon and 10pm so nurse didn't believe dehydration was an issue) Contractions slowed down/went away while horizontal but came back as soon as I was vertical again.
Saw NP today. She did an exam -- cervix is still long and closed -- she took a couple swabs and looked at them under microscope and when she came back in she said "good news, it's a yeast infection." So apparently I have a yeast infection irritating my uterus and it's not the start of PTL. On bedrest for today, possibly tomorrow, depending on how fast I respond to the treatment.
As we got into the car, DH commented that "This is the first time having an infection has been a good thing."
Re: This is a first
Your DH is right. Hope it resolves soon.
