Has anyone ever shared a nanny with another family?

Hey ladies,

I am pregnant with my first and due in May 2013. I know it is very early to start talking about child care, but I wanted to have a plan and explore all my options.  I have asked around about the cost of a nanny for one baby, and it is a lot!  I was wondering if any moms have ever shared a nanny with another family to help offset the costs of personal childcare for your little one.  We live in the Plano area and both work full time. My husband has no clue about children, so I'm really worried about him getting the kiddo ready in the mornings if I head off to the gym at 5:30 am.  We are trying to figure out if we can have it all like we do now - working out 5+ days a week and working 8-4:30 jobs.  He usually leaves the house around 8:00 in the morning, and I would get home first around 5:00.

Any suggestions?

    We live in Farmers Branch and are in the same boat.  We are due in April and want to get the childcare issue worked out.  I just was looking up stuff and found a website https://nannyshare.us/ that says it has families in the Dallas area.  I'm just signing up so I don't know if it is a good resource or not.

    I too live in Plano, and am expecting our first in Aug 2013. I've been interested in this and will need to start researching as my husband and I both work as well.
