Many of you mammas are pregnant already! ITs crazy, i cant imagine, why? because my son does not sleep through the night yet, still wakes up once, and he is up at 5am EVERYDAY. i've tried it all. i cant imagine having another when i dont have a sleeper yet, tired parents thats for sure... *sigh*
Seems like my child is the only child that has yet to sleep through the night on a regular basis and wakes up so early
Re: 17 month old and sleep
Nope, you aren't alone.
DS does not consistently STTN. He is up sometimes 1-3 times a night, I go in, give him his paci and he goes back down.
He is up at 5 am every day also. The only thing keeping me sane, is I let him come into bed with me at 5, so he will sleep until 630-7am. I really want to break this habit though, but I am desperate for sleep.
You are not alone. I am right there with you. Even if I could convince DH we are not one-and-done there is no way I am ready yet. My goal was always to have them 3-4 years apart anyways. I will admit to getting UT envy though for every BFP I see, at least, until DD wakes up at 1am and doesn't go back to bed till 4am.
Yuuuup! That's our situation as well. Sad really, I loved co-sleeping and we co-slept till 6mo. I miss the snuggling. DD is not a snuggler and it seemed that was the only time she would. It was like as soon as we switched to the crib that was the only place she will sleep.
I'm sorry you have a tough sleeper
But honestly, the fact that DD is a good sleeper is the only reason I was open to TTC!
Have you talked with your pedi? Maybe there is a tiny adjustment in diet or naps that you are overlooking. GL!
This is us too except now that she is finally teething I dont always get a good night sleep. But if she wasnt a good sleeper, I wouldn't be considering it either.

This! I'd talk to your pedi, though I remember early on mine said naps had no effect on night time sleeping.
What time is their bedtime? Have you tried making it later? Also, have you tried CIO for those middle of the night wake ups? Though you could check if they could be too cold or hot.. Scared, perhaps try a nightlight? Or comfort blanky or stuffed animal? GL!
