At 6.5 months, still on what I guess would be considered medium flow (Dr Brown's level 2). I have purchased level 3 nipples and plan on using them in the next couple of months.
fast and have been for about a month. I couldn't get ds to drink enough formula and switching did the trick. He showed some signs of needing a fast flow like collpsing the nipple and losing interest. He also wakes less at night to drink. If you're not sure and lo still wakes at night, I would switch.
We just this week switched to med flow. He did fine on slow but he wasn't finishing bottles and was getting VERY distracted (also collapsing some nipples) so we moved him up. I doubt we ever use fast flow since I intend to get him off the bottle at about a year.

We're on med flow. She occasionally makes the nipple collapse but I thought it was because she was sucking too hard because that's what she was needing to do with the slow flow. Am I wrong? She couldn't be ready for fast flow. She JUST switched to med flow. Hm...
Re: What flow nipple are you using?
Lots of luck to my Golden Girls
IVF #1: 9/11: ER: 12R, 11M, 10F, No Frosties; 5dt: 2 blasts, 1 morula; DD born 6/3/12
IVF #2: 11/12-12/12: ER: 20R, 20M, 16F, 4 Frosties; 5dt: 3 blasts, DS born 8/9/13
Med flow, was wondering when to go to fast?
I changed from slow to med, when DD would get frustrated with her bottle and would not finish. That's a pretty good indicator.
