Anyone else? (short vent)

Anyone else have a DH who asks every time LO is sick "how did he get sick?"  It is the most annoying thing EVER!!!!  Literally every time Kellen or Logan get a little bug DH is all over me like "why do they get sick all the time?!" Uh yeah, cause it's my fault that a preschooler and a baby who share the same air get colds every few months?  Ugh, he is so annoying!  Just because I stay home DOES NOT mean it is my fault when they sick and just because I am the mom does not mean I know what is wrong every time he is cranky or has a runny nose.

Or... do you have a DH who asks every time LO is crying "what's wrong, why is he crying?"  Last night Kellen was awake crying at 1am and DH is standing over me asking me "whats wrong, why is he crying, whats going on?"  Uh, I don't f*cking know. Maybe he is hungry (so I fed him) maybe he is dirty (so I changed him) maybe his teeth hurt (so I gave him tylenol).  Well, he slept the rest of the night, then this morning it's "so what was wrong with Kellen last night?"  Lol, um  I don't know but one of the things I did worked!  "Well why didn't you do them more slowly so you knew which one it was"  !!!!!!  Are you kidding?!  Yeah, cause at 1am I am going to spend half an hour each waiting to see which thing worked so I can what... say 'oh he was hungry' Um, no thanks!

    DH asks me "why is he crying?". My response is always "How should I know? It's all trial and error!". Annoying!

    Yes to all of the above. I love the how did they get sick one. Hmmm I bet it was the germs from the grocery cart or the playground at mcdonalds... Plus dh thinks because I'm a RN I should automatically know what's wrong with the kids.
    Dh also believes that going out with wet hair makes you sick and lots of other dumb ol wives tales.

    When DH asks what's wrong with him or why he's crying I say, "I don't know, ask him."

    OMG, the ex used to do this to me ALL the time!  I was like I don't know what's wrong with him...that's why I'm doing x, y, and z, to figure it out.  Or if he was holding (on the rare occasion that it happened) and he'd start fussing, he'd immediately give Ian to me and say "I don't know what's wrong with him.  Why is he crying?"  Ok, he made a little whimper for a total of 2 seconds!  Have you done anything to stop him from crying?  Oh, I used to want to choke him.

    Yes, exactly, and it drives me nuts! DS hasn't even been that sick yet (once a low grade fever for a few days and runny nose, and right now, cough and runny nose, and he was stuffy a lot from about 0-3 months), and DH he is always like, "Why is he always sick?" and when he has so much of as a sniffle, "So how did he get sick?". Then, invariably, he blames it on the activities I bring DS to, even if he's been under the weather for a few days and I only brought him to the activity the day before. And even if he does catch things from other kids, what does he want me to do? Live in a bubble and never bring him out of the house? Drives me nuts! Can't wait until I go back to work (teaching) and bring more sickness home and/or he starts preschool and he actually starts getting real colds...

    I am glad you all agree!  The other night I was telling DH that I think Kellen may have a slight labial frenectomy after reading Sooners post.  He starts flipping out saying "when are these boys going to stop scaring us, its always something!"  I looked at him very sternly and said "WHEN WE DIE YOU IDIOT!"  

    Gah, men!

    LOL! Yes!! My DH constantly asks me what is wrong with DD if she does anything other than smile. LOL!! He also asks me what to pack for DC for her everyday-WTF!?! You are her father-figure it out. I am not the only parent here!! Ok, vent over! :)
