I just left my doctor's office and forgot to ask a random question about swelling during the third trimester.
When do most women begin to swell in their face, hands, legs, etc? I don't think I'm at that point yet because other than my belly and chest, you can't tell much of a difference from now and prepregnancy. Also, is it related to high blood pressure at all? I'm just curious what your experiences have been.
Re: Swelling
No, not all swelling has to do with your bp. Sometimes pregnancy just causes some women to swell, particularly if it's warm or you've been on your feet for a while. Not all women swell during pregnancy, so you may never have this happen to you. I tend to swell in my ankles (I'm 37wks), but if I put my feet up and drink water they go back to normal.
I was told that swelling in the face, and swelling to the point of it leaving an indention after you touch it could indicate something more serious where I need to contact my doctor.

Both pregnancies I have started swelling in early 2nd tri. Last time it was at 18 weeks. My ankles and calves just poofed up. This time around it was maybe 24 weeks.
ETA: I only get it below the waist. I can still wear all my rings and people have told me my face is actually looking leaner. My BP has always been fine.
