let's say  you wanted to make this:

would you use interfacing on the back of the snowman/scarf/heart fabric so that it doesn't fray? 

Also it does look like she used a sewing machine to attach the fabrics to the burlap material, right?

  • I would say there was interfacing to get that crisp of a line.  I think that looks hand stitched, though, by someone much more skilled at stitching than I. I would probably hand stitch it, but it wouldn't look nearly as nice.

  • I would use WonderUnder, it will give the crispness of interfacing but it will also allow you to stick the snowman to the background fabric. It irons on like interfacing but then you remove the paper backing and iron it on wherever you need it.
