DS will be 3 in June and loves the water. We go to the cottage or my parent's house every weekend in the summer and spend most of our time in and out of the water. The water is very shallow and DS loves to jump in off the dock and splash around. I'm starting to think about my options for LO #2 when DS wants to play in the water. I'm thinking a carrier of some kind is the key, but what kind is best? I obviously wouldn't be going very deep, just far enough for DS to have a little fun and for me to supervise safely. Do you have any recommendations?
Re: Babywearing + water?
There are several options...
a mesh ring sling like those Comfy Joey and sleeping baby productions sell
a water wrap like the gypsy mama water wrap ...I think babyette has one too maybe?
a carrier made from solar weave like the solar weave connecta or boba air (that may not be solar weave but can do water and dries quickly) - both of these are buckles.
There used to be some solar weave mei tais out there but you'd have to hunt for a used one.
And it probably goes without saying but no back carries in the water
