Recommend quick accurate thermometer

I got a couple thermometers at my son's baby shower 8 long months ago, but I haven't really had any need for one.

Our little family is all sick with a cold right now and I was going to take my temperature today but the baby's thermometer, which is the only one we have, was taking forever!! I can't breath through my nose right now so it was a problem!

Also LO would never be able to sit still long enough for that thermometer if I were to try and use it one him. So which do you recommend?

I definitely don't mind spending some extra money if it's worth it (: I'd like one the whole family can use too!

We just got the Exergen Temporal Scanner because we couldn't get an accurate reading from the ear one and DD is too wiggly for the rectal. It's expensive, but I used one of the 20 percent off coupons from BRU.

Vicks gives a really fast ready, you can use it orally or put a probe cover on it and use it rectally.

We use the Vicks rectal thermometer. It's pretty quick, and I don't have a problem with my son moving around too much, I just position him like I am changing his diaper. Rectal temps are more accurate and typically preferred until age 2.

Same here...I got it the day after thanksgiving for 50% off..awesome deal. But if you can wait a few days, Target's website has it and is about $38 as opposed to the $50 that BRU charges for it.
