Babies: 6 - 9 Months

no teeth yet...

I guess dd must be a late bloomer. She will be 9 mos on the 25th and still no teeth! Although she's been showing signs for months. I guess any day now

Re: no teeth yet...

  • My niece didn't pop her first tooth until she was seventeen months. Now at eighteen months she has six. Poor kid had to catch up. She was miserable! I have heard the longer they stay in the healthier the teeth are. So I guess it's a good thing?

  • We were just the opposite, his 8th tooth broke through just at the end of 6 months. I don't know where he got this early teething from, neither my husband or I were early teethers. It's kinda weird to see a 7 month old baby with a mouth full of teeth!

  • I am not looking forward to teeth. If I get bit while nursing, I think that chapter will be over. The longer away the better.

  • DD will be 9 months on the 1st and she doesn't have any teeth either.  I figure they will come with they are ready.  I love her "gummy grin" anyway!

Getting bit is not the end of the world. DS has 2 teeth and has bitten me a few times. I just unlatch him and tell him no. That doesn't make me want to stop nursing, it's not like it happens all the time.
