Well, I guess we got our answer! We wanted to do this IUI/injects cycle to see how I would respond to the meds and now we know. Oh, and my lining sucks apparently. At least I have the one?
It feels like a waste, since [thankfully!] I ovulate regularly on my own. I know it's good information to have for our IVF cycle, but it still sucks. Like everyone else I'm sure, I was just hoping to be a superstar!

Re: One follicle
My first inject + IUI cycle I had one follie. The 2nd I had 2. During our IVF egg retrieval, we got 14 eggs. So the inject cycles seemed to give my RE somewhere to start and we ended up with a good retrieval. Hopefully the same is for you! Good luck!

It's a BOY!
It's good to have one cycle under you belt so they can gauge your response. They always start on the low end because it can be dangerous to overstimulate your ovaries. Don't worry, they have more powerful meds in their tool kit!
And it's not a totally wasted cycle yet right? It only takes one egg after all.

Thanks guys, I know I'm being silly! I blame the hormones
I do have to remind myself constantly about the fact that we're simply doing it to find out how I respond. About 100 times a day probably! It's just hard to give up the hope. And one *is* all I really need!

They really don't want you to have lots of follicle with an IUI anyways so just because you had only one doesn't mean you won't have a superstar IVF. We had 1 follicle the first IUI and 2follicles the 2nd IUI but collectively 30 eggs retrieved between two IVF cycles.
Best of luck!!
