Pretty sure my son's school thinks I'm crazy

I cried today when I picked DS up from school. It's only 2 hours long! But I just couldn't stop thinking of the parents in Newtown that didn't get to pick their kids up from school. Ugh. I am still so sad about it.

    I have been feeling exactly the same way.  You are not crazy, all of my friends said they sobbed when dropping their kids off today.  I am sure I will be the same when I drop Logan at preschool on Wednesday.  I don't even want him out of my line of sight right now, much less at a school.

    I've been crying all day at the news.  It is just so, so sad and unimaginable.  I keep thinking of those poor innocent babies and the horror that everyone went through :(

    Chances are they don't think you are crazy, we were all crying, too. I can't even count how many rooms I walked by today and saw the teachers, secretaries or admins crying or looking quite sad when kids weren't around. We just put on a happy face for the parents and kids.

    I taught 4th grade today and soooo many parents drove their kids in today! The teachers said their emails were flooded with parents saying "thank you for all you do". It breaks my heart. We reviewed what to do during lock down drills today and the kids were so anxious about what could happen if there really was an intruder. They were thinking of every single possibility.
