I got the call in the middle of Nordstrom from the nurse that my beta came back and I am not pregnant.I knew the success of a first IUI was low, but of course wanted my Christmas miracle. Dr. told me that we had a 20-25% shot, but I really didn't think it would happen. She asked me if I wanted to go ahead with IUI#2 this next cycle.
We decided due to the Holiday's to sit out a cycle. I need a mental and physical break too. I am trying to stay positive. I had a succesful cycle as far as I responded and everything was well timed. It just wasn't my time. My Re wants to chuck the clomid next cycle and do full injectibles. He told me he was conservative since it was my first one.
So I am going to mourn for today and enjoy my family and friends for Christmas. I don't want to spend the Holidays sad. And besides, 2013 is just around the corner and I really think it will be our year.

Oct 2012, 2nd round of Clomid, one 19mm egg upping dosage 100mg clomid for November in hopes of doing IUI-BFN
November 18th 2012, IUI #1-BFN prescribed progesterone supplements for next cycle, monitoring appt Dec 12th.
December 14th- Missed ovulation, doing TI instead of IUI.-BFN
January 11th IUI #2-BFN
IUI #3-Feb 13th=BFP

I could have written this post myself! We were in the same boat and IUI #1 failed lat cycle. I took it really hard. We also decided to take a break for the same reasons and it was a relief not having to worry about appointments, phone calls, and everything else. I have a good feeling about the new year. I don't even think I have the strength to do another IUI cycle but I'm in the process of deciding right now. We will probably do it... Sorry you have to face a BFN, but don't give up. i refuse to give up. Enjoy your break and the holidays! Good luck goimg forward.

Thank you ladies! You all are the most supportive and encouraging group out there! I am so blessed to have found you all through this difficult time.
I am sad today... even cried a bit this morning. Not gonna lie. But I am a woman of faith. A friend sent this to me today and I just keep reflecting on it.
When we pray, God hears more than we say, answers more than we ask, gives more than we imagine... in HIS own time & HIS own way.?
I pray all of you get your BFPs very soon and that you all have a wonderful rest of your year!

After 1 year of infertility, our little miracle was conceived via our 3rd IUI on May 5, 2013.
Holland Sophia was born Jan 24, 2014.
