How old when your DC could sit unassisted?

I mean, when they don't topple over. DS can sit for quite a while unassisted if there's a fun toy in front of him, but he still topples over backwards a lot. He doesn't go over sideways so much any more because he's figured out how to brace himself with his arm. I'm just wondering when you can sit them down and not have to be right there with them.

If you mean when could he get to sitting unassisted, he was about 6 months? 7?

Just under 7 months. He was only toppling over for a few days before he got the hang of it.

DS started sitting unassisted at about 3.5 months, and by 4 months, he started sitting really well and stopped falling over.

6.5 months was about when she could sit unsupported, catch herself if she started to topple and be able to get into sitting on her own.

5 months, but I think she may have been on the early side. Now she is crawling, standing and cruising... I think we will have an early walker.

We're a little slower, lol. DD is just now stopping the whole random-topple thing. But she can really only sit for like ten minutes tops before she falls. She's 7 months.
