High-Risk Pregnancy

Bedrest sucks!

Bedrest sucks! I've been on BR for 10 week. Only 20 weeks to go. lol. I'm officially going nuts by myself. And now that Christmas is near everyone is so busy and DH has to work so much. Anyone else has to be on bedrest for a long time? I'm downloading games, embroidering, working on my journal, but no matter how I try to set up a routine, I still get lonely and frustrated.I'm grateful for how far I've come, but just thinking about how many more weeks to go. Please pray for me to just relax and do what I need to do to keep my little boy inside.

  • Praying for you! I am sorry you are bored :(

I haven't had to be on bed rest for a long time but can see how tedious that must be. Have you been reading at all? Some times it is nice to get lost in a book

  • That sounds like a good idea. I was never really one to take up reading before. I was always so busy, but I've got a lot of time now so I guess this is the best time to start.Any suggestions?

  • 14 weeks of bed rest here! Not sure how many are left, hopefully just 3 more when my cerclage is out. I've read all the Pretty Little Liars books. That has helped. Also Lifetime movie network has been my friend too!
  • I've only been on bed rest for about 6 or 7 weeks, I'm not even sure anymore. lol

It does suck and it's terribly boring and lonely sometimes. Books, TV, and the internet are how I survive. My internet went down for a while yesterday and my head hurt so I couldn't read... I literally just cried. :P

Hope BR gets easier for you!

  • Some good reads are, "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins which includes 3 books so that would keep you busy. I'm on bed rest and currently reading "The Host" by Stephanie Meyer, which is long but really interesting. Reading really helps me keep my mind off of boredom and also helps me wind down to nap and sleep. Good luck!
