Estranged Mother wants to be part of our pregnancy

So, last year when my husband and I got married, my family basically disowned me. They didnt come to our wedding and kept all of our decorations and cake. In fact, only one person in my entire family (incuding extended family) came and I barely know them. My parents and I have barely spoken in the past year and I dont really care to deal with them yet. My father usually sends me snarky and rude comments telling me how horrible I am and my mom sends me long winded texts about how I should come back to church... Long story short, my husband and I discovered we were about a month pregnant. I sent my mother a happy picture text of my positive test result and she was not very supportive. 2 days later, now she wants to be a part of our pregnancy. Should I let them back in to our lives? All they seem to do is stress us out, which is the last thing I want during the critical first 12 weeks of pregnancy.

I am sorry you are going through this. It is a hard question not knowing the whole circumstance. I think if it was me I would give my mother the benifit of the doubt but the first sign it is heading the wrong way I would not have her be a part of it. Good luck to you and hope it all works out
