So my hubby and I are first timers but consider ourselves pretty knowledgeable. He's pre med and I have nannied in the past for a newborn. We aren't very anxious about things going wrong or the delivery itself. Basically, we are pretty "relaxed" about the whole thing. We've debated about taking a birthing class and of course are waiting til the last minute. The next available class in town starts on Jan 3 and runs for 7 weeks and costs $55. We are due Feb 7th and since money is a little tight is it worth signing up for a class we might not finish? Please give us your opinion! DH says opinions only no mandates
Re: Birthing Class or no birthing class???
I was overly prepared for birth, I read several different books on birth, read countless articles online and of cource asked every question I could think of to my doctor.
I didnt learn anything new from birthing class. DH however did he didnt know any of that information and it kept him calm during the birth.
This. More helpful for DH. But they showed everyone lots of massages to dohands on instead of from a booknot bad.
This exactly. You won't learn anything that you can find on the Internet but it really helps to hear it from a health care provider in your hospital.
