My LO is mainly breastfed, but usually ends up with one or two formula bottles in the evenings. (No matter how much I nurse, she never seems satisfied by what I can provide.)
My question-I had been using the pre-made Similac formula at first, but when I realized we were going to need to continue longer with formula, I switched to the powdered. I bought the Gerber bottled water to mix. Now, two weeks later, I am just realizing that the Gerber bottle says to refrigerate after opening (oops, didn't know that) and that it's not sterile and to consult my pedi with what to do. I will call tomorrow, but wondering what others do. Does this mean I need to boil the bottled water before we use it?
Re: Water for Formula
Wow I never realized that or didn't even think to look at that. My Lo is the same way and I also recently brought can formula too. I never knew it had to be refrigerated. I think it should be fine.it almost the same for bottle water. Let me know please what you find out from your dr
Okay I just checked and I use Nursey water and that one doesn't say to refrigerate after use. Maybe you should try that one if anything.
It's $1 per gallon.
