Lupus pregnancies?

Are there any pregnant lupus ladies? I was wrongly diagnosed with HELLP syndrome and delivered prematurely as a result. As it turns out I have lupus. I don't have lupus nephritis, which is good. However, my rheumatologist just informed me that pregnancy has been known to activate lupus nephritis. This is obviously a huge cause for concern for me. I would like to have another pregnancy soon, but I'm worried. How did you come to the decision to have another pregnancy (or pregnancy if this is your first).

I wish I had a crystal ball. This is just so scary, but at the same time I never envisioned having a one child family and I would love to have another pregnancy. Thank you!

    I dont have lupus but i have friends that do an both have 3 girls each.. I would ask the dr what are the chances you may delevop nephritis. Maybe he had to warn you because there is a chance but who knows if the chance is slim and also ask will it be perminate. Also if you do come out pregnant and get nephritis what are the treatments offered that wouldnt bring harm to the baby...

    I am pregnant and have lupus and sjogrens. My rheumatologist and I talked a lot prior to getting pregnant. I was having kidney problems for about a year. She knew we wanted to get pregnant. I was treated aggressively with steroids and it seemed to work. I did wait a year to make sure my numbers all remained somewhat normal. I was feeling really good and healthy so we decided to start trying. Good luck!

    Was just diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis while pregnant. I am hospitalized currently on bedrest. They are keeping me on sterioids till I give birth & monitoring me closely. BP's sky rocket out of no where & tons of protein in my urine. After baby will do Kidney biopsy & treament.
