  • Congrats!! Awesome photos!!!
  • Thanks ladies, we are pretty stoked (though if I'm being 100% honest, I'm a little scared of the unknown that is having a boy - but hey, I'm sure I'll figure it out :D). DH wouldn't admit it before, but he was hoping for a boy this time,.

Wash, I find it hard to compare staying Team Green vs finding out the sex at the a/s. I feel that finding out in the delivery room was such a special and intimate moment with my husband, whereas the way we did it today was more like an awesome party (only we kept it really intimate and only had immediate family there with us).

I loved being Team Green with the girls. I loved the wondering, the anticipation, that magic moment in the delivery room when they tell you "Congratulations, it's a girl!". Plus, being team green for the first two times meant I had to stick to more gender neutral things, in case I were ever to have a boy, which I am.

Finding out surrounded by family was also so very special. Everyone laughed and screamed and it was just such a happy moment and I am really thankful I was able to share it with my close ones. I don't think I would have gone that route if it had been my first, but DH and I already got to keep that moment (finding out the sex of our baby) to ourselves twice already, so we thought it'd be nice to include our family this time around.

Sorry this doesn't answer your question as to which I prefer, but I will say this: both (finding out or not) are totally worth it :)

I promise it's not that hard :) With the girls, every time I'd go in for an u/s, I'd tell the tech as soon as we walked into the room and that was it. Once the words were out of my mouth, I would have felt silly going back on them, YKWIM?

I'm not even sure DD2 understands what's going on, so I doubt she really cares at this point. lol

I think DD1 would have been happy either way. When I'd ask her if she thought the baby was a boy or a girl, she'd go back and forth. I think she was just really excited to find out, regardless of what it was. I also think she now thinks that to find out the sex of a baby, all you have to do is eat cake. lol

    Congratulations Family Ha!!

Can't wait to see his birth story!!

Couldn't bold, but the TROUBLE part really made me laugh. Right now, I just feel sorry for the little dude. I can't imagine what it'll be like for him to grow up with TWO big sisters to torture him. lol

As for names, he's definitely going to get a French one and a Chinese one.

For the Chinese name, we will follow the tradition where kids of a generation all share the same part of their first name. That's the easy part because we already have a list of names that the family put together for us. I ask DH what each name means, then I pick out the ones I like, and he makes the final cut.

As for the French name, that's a whole 'nother story. By far one of the hardest thing pregnancy related for us. I have a feeling this baby shall remain nameless until he is born. lol

Can't wait to see his birth story!!

Hopefully, it'll be either one of the two following scenarios:

Everything happened so fast after the pitocin kicked in, this baby came flying out before I could even ask for the epidural

    OR

    The epidural ROCKED.

    lol

Also, that latest ticker of yours has got me all excited!

    Were the grandparents floored??

I think my mom truly would have been happy either way, but my dad was really stoked to have a grandson - and so are DH's parents.
