Hi, I know I haven't intro'd but I'm a lurker with a question. It seems like my baby is moving less now than a few weeks ago and I was wondering if it was the same for anyone else. I asked my Dr. about it today and she said she wasn't worried but that it did seem early for the baby to be running out of room. Anyone else? TIA!

Re: anyone feel a decrease in movement
I was thinking the same thing yesterday. I've been feeling pretty consistent movements lately, but really hadn't felt anything for the past two days. I called my doctor, hoping to stop by and get checked after work and they actually ordered me to go to Labor and Delivery! You can imagine how terrified I became when I thought a simple doctor's appointment would be enough.
Anyway, I went to Labor and Delivery and everything was fine. Baby's heartbeat was strong. However, the nurse told me that I was dehydrated and that can affect baby's movement.
So, stay hydrated and relax. I'm sure baby is fine!
Also, my midwives said not to expect movement to be super consistent until 32 weeks. HTH!
Yes, I was just thinking about this the other day... I had been feeling baby since early on (16 weeks maybe?) but in the last week or so, barely anything. But, I have an anterior placenta which can muffle movement... I guess he has to be positioned a certain way for me to be able to feel it.
Hm, li'l man must've read my mind because he just gave me two good kicks! And, at my OB appointment today, his heartbeat was perfect.

I felt a distinct decrease in movement (to very rare and very weak) around 22-23 weeks, and it lasted for two weeks. I was just starting to freak out when BAM! At Week 25, baby started squirming up a storm and now the little bugger won't sit still! I noticed a spike in my appetite right as the activity picked up, too. If your doc isn't worried, everything's probably ok, but just from that recent experience, I think it's possible for baby to just be sort of calm for a while. Keep tracking it and if you feel the inactivity is going on for too long, call doc back.
Wouldn't worry, though.
