Dh and I were walking through Walmart after A's appointment the other day, just kind of killing time before we had to drop him off at work. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed one of the associates pushing an empty stock cart and then I hear "Santa".
We both looked at each other and then at the man. He certainly did look like Santa, white beard and hair, and for A to point something out to us is really still quite amazing...but oh my...
The man stopped and smiled at her and then at us, as we stood unsure of what to say to him, or her. He said "I get that a lot." and then asked if she wanted a sucker. He stopped what he was doing and walked us all back to the hardware section which was no where close to where we were. He produced a little container from behind the paint counter and let A take her time picking out a sucker. She was still pretty unsure of it all, but she did tell him "bye bye Santa".
As he walked away he laughed and said "Shes not too far off, I do have three suits."
While I don't want to encourage her to take candy from strangers...or call random bearded gentlemen Santa...It really melted my heart.

LOL I can't imagine. DH noted that he didn't get as warm of a reception when he pointed out "santa" at our local Kroger a few years back. I reminded him it was July and he was in his early thirties, as opposed to A who is almost 2
