I noticed there are a lot of International Bumpies living in Europe and am hoping you can help! I would love recommendations on European toy brands from any European countries that have not been mentioned below but should be. Suggestions for popular toys in Europe for ages 6 months to 2 years would be wonderful- links a plus! (Just in time for Christmas holiday!)
Basically which toys and brands are a huge hit in your country?
Germany: Haba, Grimms- any others?
France: Vilac and Duratoys/Janod, Vulli- What other French companies are there? Please list!
Italy: Sevi- Are there other Italian toy companies to add on to this short list?
Recommendations for toys from other European countries not mentioned would be wonderful, too! (For those not living in Europe- if you believe a company in your country deserves a shout-out for safety and quality, please add on to the list. If possible, add a link showing which toy from that company you highly recommend because your baby loves it and its safe (example Vulli's Sophie, etc)
Sorry its so long- I tried to edit it to make it shorter. TIA for your suggestions!
Re: European toys- those living in Germany, France, Italy, etc...
I am living in Denmark, but a popular toy company here is called Brio. It is out of Sweden.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brio_(company)
Looks great! Are there any popular/reputable Danish toy brands as well? Or particular "it" items in Denmark that nearly every baby seem to love, or that parents always seem to want to buy their baby? (for example Bumbo, Sophie, etc.) Thanks....

Ha ha... I can picture DD favoring the rubber duckies one day, too... at least we tried!
Also, another Haba fan here... I forgot to mention Djeco as another French brand...to get the ball rolling, here's more- Plan Toys (American I think) and Holgate Toys (they have stuff made in the USA.)
Im American but not currently living in the US.
I like Boon too, I got a Boon stacking ring toss bathtoy, and plan on getting a few more of their bath toys! Boon sells in a few other countries, too. That train set sounds adorable, Im sure he will be totally excited when he opens his present!
One of the PPs mentioned Brio from Sweden and I noticed they have a lot of train sets too, you might want to check it out to compare...
Another good (American brand I think) might be Wonderworld...seems to be safe and good quality, but PlanToys might be better... Though I got one of the Wonderworld shape sorters and it appeared to be very well-made. I guess Im just mostly adding onto my own list ha ha
Thanks ladies for all your input! .
Germany: Janosch - every kid needs a Tigerente!
Ravensburger makes good stuff too.
Ohh, thank you! I'll have to check that out!
Glad for the additional suggestions thats not already listed! I have not heard of Janosch or Ravensburger but I will look into these (and the Tigerente.) Thank you!
