Yet another wrap question

Hello ladies! Long time lurker on this board but an active one on my BMB.

Live hit a bit of a snafu. A friend of mine got me a Maya wrap as a gift but has a lot of things coming up so she hasn't been able to send it out to me. I reallllly need it this weekend so I was hoping to find a store that sold any type of ring sling. Doesn't have to be a Maya, of course.  I thought about the Mpby, but with the opinions of it being too stretchy pushed me towards another ring sling.

Anyone know where I could find one in store as its too late to order online?

Re: Yet another wrap question

  • You'd probably only find one at a local baby boutique/natural parenting type store. Craiglist, maybe. You could also check for Maya retailers if the website lists them.

  • Pp is spot on. GL mama! If you have baby resale stores in your area stalk them too.

  • I'm a mobile user, so can't see your siggy and how old your lo is... But, I would reconsider the Moby if your lo is still under 6 months. It is stretchy, but I've never had a problem with it stretching too much or feeling unsafe. My lo is 3 months and I plan to wear her in it through the summer before getting a beco Gemini for when she's older... Also, I just purchased the Moby as a shower gift for my friend yesterday, and it was on sale at target for 43, reg 54.
  • Thanks ladies!

Not to hijack the thread, but you'll likely find yourself very uncomfortable wearing the Moby in the next couple of months. The stretchiness just doesn't provide enough support as LOs get heavier.
