Gerber puffs

What age did you start puffs? My aunt insists that Lo is ready. He's 6.5 months and has been on solids since 4 months.

i started my guy right around the six month mark. he sits unassisted and seemed ready. and now he LOVES them. i started off breaking them in small pieces and now he is a champ at eating a whole one. he is even starting to try to pick them up off of his high chair and put them in his mouth by himself.

i was a little nervous at first... but not anymore. i just keep my eye on him when he eats them.

As soon as they can pincher grip them, I start with mum mums first and then move to puffs. My two year old still loves them as a snack so lo has had them a few times. But I also give him steamed cut up not mashed veggies.

I started at about 5 months, when he was able to sit unassisted in the high chair. I think they are great for perfecting the pincher grasp! At first he would only eat the ones we put in his mouth, and grab a bunch with his fist. Not many would ever make it into his mouth, but now he grabs just one, and it goes straight in! (Keep in mind that we started veggies and fruits at 4 months- pedi told us we were ok to start!)
