My DS banged his forward on the wall last week and it left a decent bruise. Now that it is faded DH and I see a little dent. Does this happen? Does it eventually go away? It isn't horrible to look at but wondering why it looks like a little dent.
i dont want to scare you but that one thing everyone always told me while ds was learning to walk and falling all the time, you want a lump not a dent. I would call the doctor asap. My father who is a 1st responder, tells me all the time if he falls and get a dent in his head bring him to the er.
A few months ago DD lost her balance and as she fell, she swung into the edge of our entertainment center with her forehead. It formed a nasty egg-sized knot with a bruise in the shape of a line where she made contact. We iced it down and saw the pedi the next day and she told us that after the swelling went down it would likely leave a dent from all the tissue trauma and scarring below the surface. Sure enough, DD now has a small pitted area on her forehead. Fortunately it's much smaller than the initial area of injury. The pedi said it would take months to go away, so I am hoping to see it get less noticeable with time.
Re: head bump looks like dent
Yea, this is what I heard to:
A Lump is Good
A Dent is Bad
I would get him looked at Now!
Yeah this. Did you get into the doctor?!? Any updates?
Ditto!
